Dr. Ping-Chin Lai specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases; including kidney transplantation, acute and chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, hypertension, and diabetes. Dean Lai has extensive experience in kidney transplantation and is good at other kidney-related diseases. Kidney disease usually manifests in hematuria, proteinuria, electrolyte abnormalities, edema, and accompanying hypertension; patients with chronic renal failure (referred to as chronic renal failure) must be considered for hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or kidney transplantation.

Professor Jin-Jer Chen is a cardiovascular disease expert who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of general medical diseases, cardiovascular diseases, arrhythmia and hypertension, as well as cardiac ultrasound and cardiac catheterization. He was previously a professor of internal medicine at National Taiwan University Hospital, a researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine, Academia Sinica, a consultant cardiologist at the King's Hospital of Jeddah and King of Saudi Arabia in Saudi Arabia and a visiting professor of cardiology at the University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Chen has conducted in-depth studies on molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular disease and molecular biology including cardiac hypertrophy, heart failure, arteriosclerosis and hypertension and published over 150 articles in internationally renowned journals.

Dr. Zhou Xiangtai is a medical doctor from Japan's National Kobe University. He used to be a physician of cardiology of Taipei Veterans General Hospital and a fellow of cardiology of the University of California, San Francisco. Awarded the American College of Cardiology. Chow's specialty is in medical treatment of cardiovascular disease, especially hypertension and heart failure, as well as various cardiac imaging diagnostics such as echocardiography and 640-cut computed tomography coronary angiography. Dr. Zhou's research focuses on Cardiac Ultrasound, Cardiology, Molecular Cardiology and Cardiomyopathies.

Prof. Chung-Liang Lan was the first Taiwan rheumatology fellow trained at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center in the United States in 1970s. With over 50 years of professional experience, he was honored with the Master Award by the Taiwan Rheumatology Association in 2013 and the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) in 2017. He also served as the President of the Taiwan College of Rheumatology (TCR) from 2009 to 2011.Currently, he serves as an Advisor to the Superintendent's Office at China Medical University Hospital and as a Chair Professor at China Medical University. His research areas include autoimmune diseases (focus on SLE and RA) and connective tissue diseases complicated by interstitial lung disease. His research team focuses primarily on developing novel diagnostic markers and prognostic markers for the progression of interstitial lung disease. Over the past 40 years, he has served as the principal investigator for at least 80 multinational clinical trials for new drugs (Phases I-III), with his patient enrollment numbers and trial quality frequently ranking at the top globally.

Prof. Chen is the Vice Dean of the Department of Medicine at CMUH and former Vice Superintendent and Director of the Center (2017–2025), is among Taiwan's most influential rheumatologists. Dr. Der-Yuan Chen is a specialist in allergy, immunology, and rheumatology with over 40 years of professional experience. He was honored with the Master Award by the Taiwan Rheumatology Association (2023) and the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (2024), and he previously served as the President of the TCR (2014–2016). He currently serves as the Vice Superintendent and the Director of the Rheumatology and Immunology Center at China Medical University Hospital. His research areas include the immunopathogenesis of autoimmune diseases (such as SLE and RA) and autoinflammatory diseases (AOSD), the association between infection and immune inflammation, and the safety of targeted therapies. In recognition of his outstanding achievements in SLE research, he received the Academic Research Award from Taiwan's Society of Immunology and participated in formulating the Asia-Pacific recommendations for the management of SLE (Lancet Rheumatology, 2022). His exceptional research on AOSD has yielded 35 SCI papers that have been frequently cited in rheumatology textbooks, earning him the prestigious distinction of being named among the World's Top 2% Scientists in 2020,2021,2024 and 2025. As of 2024, he has published 262 SCI journal papers, accumulating over 11,000 citations.

Li-Yuan Bai, M.D., Ph.D., is the director of Division of Hematology and Oncology, and the deputy director of Clinical Trial Center at China Medical University Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan. The interest fields of professor Bai include cancer of gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, biliary tract, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and neuroendocrine tumor. He has participated many international clinical trials in relevant fields and is the leading principle investigator in three PI-initiated, multicenter clinical trials. Prof. Bai is also active in first-in-human and early phase clinical trials, with the engagement of 34 first-in-human or phase I trials between 2014 to 2022.
