Dr. Kuen-Bao Chen is currently president of the Chinese Bu-Xiong Medical Association, and councilor of Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists and Taiwan Pain Society. Dr. Chen completed his anesthesia training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou District, in 1991.
He founded the Division of Pain Medicine of China Medical University Hospital in 1994 and served as the first director. He also visited University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to have training of pain medicine in 1997.
Dr. Chen also went to Boston Children's Hospital, Massachusetts, USA to have training of pediatric cardiac anesthesia in 1998. In 2006, Dr. Chen obtained a master's degree from the Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine of China Medical University. Dr. Chen specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesia, pain management and critical care medicine.

An-Kuo Chou, M.D., Ph.D., is a Full Professor in the School of Medicine at China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan, and an Attending Physician in the Department of Anesthesiology at China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), where he previously served as Deputy Director. He earned his Medical Degree (M.D.) from the National Defense Medical Center and his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Kaohsiung Medical University. Earlier in his career, Dr. Chou served as Director of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Head of Research Laboratory No. 17, and Attending Physician at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
