Urodynamic study is a safe method for patients, but a few patients may have the following side effects and complications due to abrasions of urethra and bladder mucous membranes during the examination.

Side effects and complications

• Slight pain in urination.
• Mild frequent urination.
• Slight urgent urination.
• Slight hematuria.
• Urinary tract infection.
• Vaginitis.

Notes

• Drink plenty of fluids after the examination and take preventive medications as directed by your physician.
• If there is persistent severe hematuria or severe discomfort, please immediately return to the department of obstetrics and gynecology or emergency room for treatment.
