Earthquake stroke at 1:47 in the morning.An "Emergency
Care Center" was setup to care for wounded.

01: Took over Pei-Kung Subsidiary Hospital.

"Medical Genetics"is established.

Jan. 01: Participated in the research of myelopathic
muscularatrophy, and built the first experimental animal
mode in the world.
Apr. 01: "Hyperbaric Oxygen
Therapy Center"is established.
May. 08: Was
evaluated as a "medical center" of good standing by the
hospital evaluation committee of the Department of
Health and the Ministry of Education.
Nov. 22:
Completed the first lung transplant surgery in central
Taiwan area.
